Much of my life has been spent pursing artistic endeavors. I became interested in art in junior
high when I had an inspiring art teacher. At that point, I knew I would create art my entire life.
Being in nature is another activity that has served to motivate my art.
I have been a practicing artist for many years, earning two Bachelor degrees and a Master’s
degree in art. I’ve also had the good fortune to be married to an artist. Teaching art in the
public schools was my occupation for thirty years. The students excited me with all of their
ideas, I learned much from them.
I work daily on my art, creating artworks in colored pencil and with acrylic paint. Some of my
work is realistic and some of it is abstract. Bright colors with subtle variations are part of my
work. Working on art is a passion that gives my life a sense of fulfillment.
